【教学目标】

文本内容:
1) I feel blue.
Li Ming:
Hi, Jenny! I am listening to an English song. In the song, the singer says “I feel blue”. How can you feel a colour
Jenny:
That’s a good question. In English, we use many colours for our feelings. Blue can mean “sad”. Green can mean “sick”. Yellow can mean “scared”. And red can mean “angry”.
Li Ming:
Wow! Thank you, Jenny. In China, red is a happy colour.
2) The colours of our feelings
Are you blue Are you sad
Smile big. Don’t feel bad.
Don’t be scared. Don’t be yellow.
Wave your hand and say hello.
Don’t see red. Don’t be angry.
Jump and play and feel happy.
Don’t feel sick. Don’t feel green.

Culture Tip
Colours have many different meanings in many different cultures. In Chinese culture, white is a symbol of death. But in Western culture, white is a symbol of peace and black is a symbol of death.
通过听录音,跟读录音,分角色朗读,集中学生注意力,提高听读的效果,巩固所学的知识。
Language points:
1. I am listening to an English song.
listen“听”,为不及物动词,后面接宾语时需要加介词to,强调动作。
e.g. I learn English by listening to cassettes.
2. In English, we use many colours for our feelings.
(1) in English在英语里,用英语“in +语言”表示“用某种语言”。
(2) use使用
use ... for ... 把……用于……
use ... to do ... 用……做……
use sth. as sth. 把……当作……用
3. Green can mean “sick”.
sick: 多用于美国,作“生病”解时,既可作表语,也可作定语。在英国,sick作表语,不指生病,而指“恶心、呕吐”。
拓展:
ill: 在英国较常用,指“生病”时,通常作表语,不可作定语。在美国,ill 用作表语时可与 sick 换用。
4. And red can mean “angry”.
angry adj. 生气的
angry 常在句中作表语。常用短语:
be angry with 对……生气
e.g. Please don’t be angry with him—he is only 6.
5. Smile big.
smile at sb. 对某人微笑
smile 还可作名词,a big smile 意为“笑容满面”。
e.g. Please smile at me.
6. Wave your hand and say hello.
wave v. 挥手;招手
wave one’s hand 挥手
wave at/to sb. 向某人挥手
wave sb. goodbye = wave goodbye to sb. 向某人挥手告别
e.g. He smiled, waved, and said, “Hi!”
