Unit 5 Being Helpful第五课时 More reading and writing
一、教学目标:
1、认识目标:能理解阅读对话内容。让学生学会处理阅读中出现的新词汇。学会一些阅读的技巧。
2、能力目标:
a.能在读问题和回答问题的过程中理解句子的内容。
b.从pre-reading, while-reading 到post-reading的各个环节中都充分考虑到学生的综合能力培养。
3、情感、策略目标:要激发学生阅读的兴趣,还要为扫清阅读时出现的比较难的词汇做准备,语篇阅读的教学也要为学生后来的英语写作做准备。
二、教学重点:句子的理解,正确回答问题,培养学生的阅读能力。
三、教学难点:新词汇的认读和理解
四、教学过程:
1. Warm up
1) Song: Can you take out the trash
2) Review: read the vocabulary
3) Flash cards
(设计意图:歌曲热身,激起学生学习兴趣。复习已学词组,为后继文本学习铺垫。)
2. Pre-reading
1) Lead in
a. Show the picture of Ben and Mr. White.
b. Discuss about the pictures.
What can you see in the picture
Where are they
Guess: What are they doing
(设计意图:在学生初读文本前,利用文中的两幅插图观察图片,讨论图片内容,进行文本内容的预测。然后再根据整体的理解去阅读对话。)
3. While reading
1) 整体感知,了解大意

Students watch the video and answer the questions
(设计意图:通过整体感知课文内容能够帮助学生快速了解学习内容的大体意思,能够迅速找出课文中的关键信息即key words。)
2) 初读课文,回答问题;
Second time:
Q: What things does Ben clean up (根据问题快速阅读,圈出Ben 收拾的东西。)
(设计意图: 让学生自读课文,初步了解课文内容思考并回答2个基础问题,能进一步帮助学生对所学内容加深记忆并为下一步合作学习打好基础。)
3)合作阅读,找出知识点。

4. Post reading
1). Show some pictures about difference between Chinese and American Children doing Housework.
(设计意图:由于本课内容涉及做家务,针对以上情况作了适当补充,满足了不同层次的学生的兴趣,拓宽了知识,图文并茂,更容易激发学生的学习兴趣)

3). 根据例文,以Being Helpful为题,写一篇小短文。

(设计意图:在语言操练足够的条件下,让学生在更为开放的模式下操练、使用所学过的内容。在任务型教学思想的指导下,让学生在正式的情境中使用自己学到的知识,进行小练笔,有助于学生独立表达自己的思想。)
4). 互评作文
Share in groups and help each other。
(设计意图:组内分享合作互助能够让学生更大胆的表达,提高自信心。)
5). Read your passage.
(设计意图:通过个人展示帮助学生引导学生养成良好的写作习惯,学习写作方法。)
