Located in northern Shanghai, BSWFLS has a modern campus with many advanced facilities. But the
beautiful campus is not my only source of pride in being a student here. I also enjoy the life in the school.
There are so many interesting and meaningful activities!
One of my favorite school activities was the kite-flying show. Kite-flying is an intangible cultural
heritage of China. In order to help students better understand this tradition, our school invited some experts
to present a kite-flying show. We were all amazed at the bright colors and the unique designs of the kites.
When the experts showed us different ways to fly kites, we were excited. As we know, .
Protecting the heritage of kite-flying requires great dedication and a deep love for Chinese culture.
In addition, I also like the Project-Based Learning (PBL) tasks very much. One of the art projects we
did last term was drawing on chairs. We were divided into groups and got to paint chairs however we
wanted. This task probably sounds strange to you, but we had great fun and learned a lot! Looking back,
we think PBL is really a great way for us to learn to put our knowledge into practice.
To me, BSWFLS is like a wonderland full of vitality and dreams where we are growing up happily!

How do you feel when you hear leaves crunching(嘎吱响) under your feet or see a spider spinning(织) its web It is believed that building a closer connection with nature can take your mind off your worries and make you feel calm.
What is nature
Nature means the world around us that is not created by people. It’s also a power that controls things like weather and the growth of animals and plants. You can find nature wherever you are: beaches, gardens, mountains and other places.
Why does nature make us feel good
Spending time in nature brings calm and joy to our lives. It also takes us outdoors, gets us active and inspires us to care more about the environment. Ralphie, aged 10, likes exploring nature on bike rides with his family. He says, “It makes me feel happy and takes my mind off things, because you have to pay attention.”
How can I feel closer to nature
Feeling closer to nature is straightforward, which means you can simply build a connection with nature by using your senses. Try listening closely to bird songs, touching the trees or following insects. Smelling flowers and feeling earth between your fingers will also help you feel closer to the natural world. Writing a poem, painting a picture and taking photos of your favorite natural places can help, too. “The important thing is to try and connect with nature and notice its beauty and how it makes you feel,” says the Mental Health Organization.

Have you ever thought about why you are the way you are And what does your personality connect with Recent research has showed that the position in which we are born in our family plays a very important role in forming personality.
The eldest child
Being the only child, the eldest enjoys all their parents' attention. However, new parents usually expect
to see their child do well. And the eldest child generally tries to meet these expectations. As a result, the
eldest children are usually polite and traditional. The problems come with the birth of another child. Suddenly the attention they're used to receiving becomes weaker. Then, they don't feel safe and will try to do
all they can to make their parents happy.
The second child
The second child has no experience of life without a brother or sister, so they never know how their
brothers or sisters feel when they suddenly have to share the attention. The second children are often more
outgoing and always looking for ways to get attention. One of the most common ways to achieve this is by making people laugh and the second children are often the jokers of the family. Again, problems can appear when another baby arrives. Suddenly, the second child becomes the middle child and may lose a clear sense of where they are.
The third child
With the birth of their third baby, parents will often feel this is their last chance to bring up a child. This
means the youngest child, more often than not, is spoilt(溺爱)with attention and love. This can lead them to
be very self-centered, believing that the world moves around them. They are always treated as the "baby" of
the family so they don't do as well as they could do. They like doing things in unexpected ways, so they are
also likely to be creative.

( )pared to the first child, the second child is according to the passage.

C. more creative and confident D. more self-centered and creative
( )49. According to the passage, if Tom thinks mainly about himself and always has new ideas, he might be .
