本单元题目为hobbies,本课所要谈论的话题是What’s your hobby 以及兴趣爱好的不同表达形式，如like/enjoy/prefer/be fond of /be interested in +doing。结合本单元的话题，呈现了大量的表示兴趣爱好的短语: go traveling, collect stamps, walk a pet dog, listen to music等。“兴趣爱好”这个话题和学生们的生活紧密相连，结合学生的实际生活，引导学生正确使用like/enjoy等短语谈论自己及朋友家人的兴趣爱好。
1. 能根据音标正确拼读并运用单词表中的单词，如: hobby, poem, maybe等。

Language points:
1. I am interested in playing basketball. 我对打篮球感兴趣。
be interested in 对……感兴趣 = become interested in
他对钓鱼感兴趣。He is interested in fishing.
比较：interesting与interested
interesting是形容词，意为“有趣的”，作表语时，主语通常是物；作定语时，既可修饰人，也可修饰物；
an interesting story 一个有趣的故事
interested也是形容词，主语通常是人，意为人“对……感兴趣”，一般只作表语，且多用于be/get/feel/become interested in 结构中。
He is interested in the news. 他对这个消息感兴趣。
Language points:
2. I am fond of acting. 我喜欢表演。
be fond of 喜爱 = like
陈先生喜欢画画。Mrs. Chen is fond of painting.
3. walk a pet dog 遛狗 = take a dog for a walk “牵着（动物）走，遛，赶着……走”
约翰晚饭后遛狗。Jone walks a pet dog after supper.
Language points:
4. I prefer ... 我更喜欢 ……
prefer = like ... better，后接名词、代词、动名词
I like swimming better. = I prefer swimming.
延伸：prefer sth. to sth. 比起做某事来更喜欢做某事 = prefer doing sth. to doing sth.
比起滑冰我更喜欢游泳。I prefer swimming to skating.
prefer to do sth. (rather than do sth.) 更愿意做……(而不愿意做……)
我宁愿死也不愿去偷。I preferred to die rather than steal.
Language points:
5. Maybe I need a change. 或许我需要改变一下。
change n. (通常指有趣的或令人愉快的)转变，变换
如：Let’s go out to a restaurant for a change.
我们换换口味，到饭店去吃吧。
拓展：change作名词时还有“零钱”的意思，作动词时有“变化、改变”之意。
如： Here is your change. 找你零钱。
Nobody can change him. 没有人能改变他。
