he, she 一般只用来代替人,也可代替雄性或雌性动物。注意:指“祖国”要用she/her。

1) whether … or not 意为“是……还是;不管……还是”
如:Please tell me whether you will go with me or not.
请告诉我你是和我一起去还是不去。
2) whether引导宾语从句时通常可以和if互换,意为“是否”,当它和or not连用时,不能与if互换。如:
I don’t know whether/if he will come. 我不知道他是否会来。
I don’t know whether he will come or not. 我不知道他是否要来。
