本单元主题属于“人与自我”范畴,涉及“学习与生活的自我管理”。学习序数词的构成以及运用序数词表示日期的方法;学会运用when引导的特殊疑问句询问日期;此外,还要学习名词所有格的构成和使用;学习询问和表达年龄的句型。
Period Ⅰ Section A(1a~1c)和Period Ⅱ Section A(2a~2e)是听说课,从十二个月份入手,通过简单的句子排序的听力训练,训练学生对有关日期信息的听辨能力,从而进行有关生日话题的讨论。
Period Ⅲ Section A(Grammar Focus~3c)是语法训练课,通过听说训练,让学生总结出由when引导的特殊疑问句的结构,然后进行书面和口头练习加以巩固。
Period Ⅳ Section B(1a~1d)是听说强化课,由活动图片引出谈论的话题,主要训练学生对活动和日期信息的听辨能力,然后根据日历谈论活动安排。
Period Ⅴ Section B(2a~2c)和Period Ⅵ Section B(3a~Self Check)是阅读写作训练课,由常见的学校活动引出阅读的内容,在进行阅读训练的基础上,针对学校活动进行便条的写作,从而提高学生的阅读和写作能力。

Step 1  Lead-in

Step 2 Work on 1a
1.Show the pictures of the twelve months on the screen,or show a big calendar to the students.Learn the names of the twelve months.
2.Look at the activities the pictures show and tell which month it is.
3.Play the recording for the students to listen and repeat the new words.Students read the new words and try to remember them.
4.Listen to The Song of Months and then sing after it.
5.The teacher writes the sentences on the blackboard.

6.Students read the conversation after the teacher.Then practice the conversation with partners.
