（1）first是序数词，意为“第一”。序数词是表示顺序的，其前常用定冠词the或形容词性物主代词修饰。对应的基数词是one。
如：her first name她的名字 the first cup第一个杯子
（2） first 第一；last 最后的; 末尾的
first name 名字；last name 姓
first name相当于given name；last name相当于family name，
full name意为“全名”。
中西方姓名差异
1) 中国人姓在前，名在后，姓和名分成两部分，两部分的首字母都要大写。
2) 西方人名在前，姓在后，名和姓首字母大写。英美人还有中间的名字（middle name）放在名和姓中间。
