Unit 6 I'm going to study computer science.
本单元属于“人与自我”范畴,涉及“职业启蒙,职业精神”。
Section A 1a部分呈现了几种不同的职业,要求学生根据趣味性为其排序。一方面让学生复习已经学过的一些表示职业的词汇(如teacher等),同时认识一些新的表示职业的词汇(如computer programmer),为后面的各项教学活动做铺垫。
Section B部分以“新年的决心”为主题设计了一系列的活动:1a 要求学生将图片和相应的新年决心配对,为后面实施交际功能提供了材料;1b引导学生通过对话巩固掌握1a 出现的生词及be going to结构;1c和1d是听力练习同时也是输出性的任务,在听力理解的基础上要求学生注意形式的正确性;1e要求学生列出一些自己的决心或计划,然后进行小组讨论;2b 是一个阅读练习,介绍了resolution(决心)的含义、类型等,任务输入和输出并重,便于巩固、应用目标语言;3b和3c是两个写作练习,培养学生用目标语言写作的能力;4 小组活动的主题是清洁与“更干净与更环保”,培养学生在情境中运用语言的能力,同时渗透德育教育。

1.重点:(1)掌握本单元的重点词汇、重点句型及语法:用be going to表示一般将来时。
(2)掌握一般将来时be going to中be的具体形式和后面接动词原形的用法。
2.难点:让学生根据自己喜欢的职业,运用所学知识谈论自己打算怎样实现自己的理想。

阅读文章,根据文章整体性和前后密切相关的特点,将A、B、C、D各句填入原文完成2b;找出文章各段的主题句,完成2c,概括每段中心意思;根据文章内容,完成2d,用简短的句子回答问题。
活动二 辅助教学
利用思维导图帮助学生用自己的话复述课文。

Step 1 Lead-in
1.Ask students to listen to a song and answer what jobs they hear.
2.Divide students into several groups and each group selects one student to act out some of the jobs they hear.Other students in the group guess the names of the jobs.
3.See which group gets the most correct answers.
【设计意图】以一首含有多种职业的歌曲导入,并让学生通过表演和猜测,学习与职业相关的词汇,为接下来的听说环节做好铺垫。
Step 2 Work on(1a~1c)
Work on 1a
Get students to read the words in the chart and rank them according to the facts.And ask students to talk about what the most/least interesting job is with their partners.
Work on 1b
1.Tell students to read the words of jobs in 1b.Make sure they know the meaning of the words and sentences.
2.Play the recording for the students and let them fill in the blanks.
3.Play the recording again.Students listen and match the jobs with activities.
4.Show the answers on the big screen.
Work on 1c
1.Show students the sample conversation in 1c and then ask them to make their own conversations.
2.Then let some pairs show their conversations in front of the class.Pay attention to the students' pronunciation and intonation.
【设计意图】让学生围绕中心话题进行一定的语言学习与积累,并做进一步的语言实践活动,从而对所学目标语言有一定的理解,并在老师和同伴的帮助下学习运用目标语言进行初步交流。
Step 3 Listening(2a~2b)
Work on 2a
1.Show students the picture in 2a and let them describe the jobs in it.
2.Play the recording and ask students to pay attention to “What Cheng Han is going to do”.Then let students check the correct boxes in the picture.
Work on 2b
1.Show students the chart in 2b,and ask students to look through it carefully before listening.
2.Play the recording again and let students complete the chart.Then check the answers together.
【设计意图】2a,2b以听力训练的方式,让学生更深层次地理解和巩固所学目标语言,并提取和处理相关信息完成相应的听力任务,与此同时也达到了提高学生听力技能的目的。
Step 4 Work on 2c
1.Ask students to summarize the key expressions in the recording in groups.
2.Let students make their own conversations about Cheng Han's plan.
3.Then select some pairs to share their conversations in front of the class.

Step 5 Role-play the conversation in 2d
1.Ask students to look at the picture in 2d.Then have students read the dialogue by themselves and try to find out the answers to the following questions:

(3)What does Andy want to be
Then check the answers:
(1)He wants to be a writer.
(2)He is going to keep on writing stories.
(3)His parents want him to be a doctor,but he's not sure about that.
2.Play the recording and let students read after it and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.Then ask students to try to memorize the conversation.
3.Ask students to act out the conversation in pairs and select some pairs to act in front of the class.

1.Ask students to read the sentences in the chart and then show the following questions on PPT.Let students think by themselves.

(3)be going to的一般疑问句结构是什么?
(4)be going to的特殊疑问句结构是什么?
2.Let students discuss those questions in groups of four and then write their answers.

【Keys:(1)be going to是用来表示一般将来时的一种结构,其后接动词原形,一般表示事先打算或计划做的事或表示预测要发生的事;
(2)陈述句结构为:主语+be(am/is/are)+going to+动词原形+其他;其否定形式在be后加not;
(3)一般疑问句结构为:Be(Am/Is/Are)+主语+going to+动词原形+其他?(即将be提前);

3.Let students practice the conversation in pairs,and then select some pairs to act in front of the class.

3.Ask some pairs to share their conversations in front of the class.

2.Play the recording the second time.Have students listen and write how the people are going to make their resolutions work.
3.Then play the recording the third time for students to check the answers.
