语法详解
过去完成时
1. 定义:过去完成时表示在过去某一时间或某一动作之前已经发生或完成的动作或存在的状态,它表示动作发生的时间是“过去的过去”。
2. 结构:常用“助动词had+动词的过去分词”构成。
3. 用法:常与过去完成时连用的时间状语有by,before 等构成的短语,也可用 when,before 等引导的从句,或者通过上下文表示。如:
◇By the time I got there, the bus had left.
◇He told me that he had already finished his homework.
注意:◆如果主句表示动作或状态的持续,需要用延续性动词的过去完成时。如:
By the time I arrived, the meeting had been on for one hour.
◆在没有明确的过去时间状语作标志时,谓语动词动作发生的时间先后顺序需根据上下文来推断:先发生的用过去完成时,后发生的则用一般过去时。如:
When we got to the bus stop, the bus had already left.
