As a Grade 9 student, there is only one month left before graduation. I still remember lots of memories of the past three years. The most special one for me is the sports meeting when I was in Grade 7.
I took part in the 800-meter race for the first time. Although I ran hard every day, I was still worried on the day of the meeting. Facing the endless runway, I felt quite nervous.
Just then, the starting gun went off and all the runners rushed out. I realized that I'd run so fast that I'd used up almost all my energy before I finished the first lap(一圈). But I had to consider keeping running for the last 100 meters. Blue veins(青筋) stood out in my forehead and I felt like I had trouble breathing. I really wanted to stop running and sit down. Just then, I heard someone was cheering me on! It was my best friend, Emma. She ran beside me and said, “Come on, you can do it!” I was filled with strength again. I finally managed to run to the end of the track.
I got sixth place at last. It made me feel happy and excited. I was thankful to Emma for her encouragement. I will never forget this experience.
