教材分析 在Let’s talk部分，Mike和朋友一起去马戏团看表演，他们在帐篷外看的时候，发现了一个“奇怪”的动物，Mike猜是熊，结果发现是化过妆的熊猫。走进帐篷，他们又发现了一个有趣的穿着裤子的狗，Mike和朋友都很喜欢。在这个过程中，教材呈现了如何询问远处不认识的动物的句式：What’s that 以及如何用Cool! I like it. 来表达自己的喜欢与欣赏。因为学生在A部分学习过了What’s this 在此课时中，重要的是引导学生区别this和that。Let’s play 是个猜动物的游戏。一个学生把动物图片放在背后，另外一个同学来猜。在此过程中使用重点句式：What’s that It’s a ... I like it. 在实际教学中，可以使用教室内的实物、文具等物品进行练习。也可以利用多媒体展示一些动物的影子，来让学生猜一猜，让他们在猜测中练习重点句式。
学情分析 We love animals 这一单元围绕小动物展开对单词的认知，与学生的日常生活联系紧密。因为学生的年龄特点，对动物也都很偏爱，所以在本课中要运用多样化教学手段使学生轻松掌握重难点。在学习小动物名称的同时，教育孩子们要珍爱小动物，因为动物是人类最好的朋友。在鼓励性语言评价中树立学生的自信心，让学生有兴趣说英语，做游戏及积极参与合作。
