Pre-task preparation Listen and enjoy Look and say Have the students listen to the recording for “Listen and enjoy” and have the students repeat after the recording. Then divide the students into two groups to read the rhyme. Have group A read the first and the third verses and group B read the second and the fourth verses. Have the students look at the pictures of different food items and tell me about the food they like. 儿歌引出主题,激发学生的学习兴趣。 学生讨论饮食的喜好,为后面的学习做铺垫。
While-task procedure Look and say Read and judge Have the students make a sentence using “I usually have … for breakfast/lunch/dinner.” Write the words today and yesterday on the blackboard.Then write the corresponding dates below today and yesterday. Make sure the students understand the meaning of the two words. Then write “I had…for breakfast/lunch/dinner yesterday.” On the blackboard and ask the students to say sentences using the pattern. Have the students look at the picture for “Look and say” and listen to the recording. Ask the students to judge whether the following statements are true or false. Check the answers with them and have them give a correct statement if a statement is false. Play the recording for “Look and say” again and have the students repeat after it. Then ask the students to practice the dialogue in “Look and say” in groups of three. After that invite several groups to act the dialogue in front of the class. Do Part C of the Workbook.
