Pre-task preparation Play a game Rhyme Give the students several groups of jumbled letters. Have the students put them in the correct order to spell food items. Then have them ask and answer questions in pairs using the words. Say a rhyme. Ask the students to write new rhyme about the food they like. Then invite some students to read out their rhymes in front of the class. 单词游戏,既激发了学生的学习兴趣,又复习巩固了所学的单词。 学生自编儿歌激发学生学习的兴趣,为后面的学习做铺垫。
While-task procedure Look and read Have the students read the text in “Look and read” and listen to the recording. Then ask them some questions to check their understanding. Have the students read the text in “Look and read” again and do “True or False”. Ask them to give a correct statement if a statement is false. After that have the students read the text by themselves. Finally give the students more statements and ask them to judge them true or false according to the text. Have the students look at the pictures in “Look and read”. Then ask them to read the passage below and fill in the blanks with the help of the given letters. Show the students some statements on the blackboard.Have them play the game “To be a healthy child” by reading and matching. 通过学生的自主学习,加强对文本的阅读理解能力。 通过语言的运用,使学生懂得要有健康的生活习惯。
Post-task activity Do a survey Exercises Have the students do a survey about their classmates’ diets in groups. Do Part G of the Workbook. Then check the answers with them. 通过小组合作调查的形式,了解同学的饮食习惯,增强同学间的了解。
