be、情态动词或助动词之后,实义动词之前。

(2)both单独作主语时,谓语动词用复数形式; both of后接名词、代词的复数形式,接名词时,名词前要有定冠词the或形容词性物主代词(me, your...)。

(3)both用作形容词,意为“两者的、双方的”,其后接名词的复数形式。
Both my sisters go to university. 我的两个妹妹都上大学。
(4)both用作副词,常用于both...and...结构中,意为“既······又 ······;······和······都”。用来连接两个并列的成分,若连接两个主语时,谓语动词应用复数形式。
