When we face strange things, we should …
“There is only one truth!”
1. Nothing much ever happened around here.
happen不及物动词，意为“发生”，没有被动语态。
(1)“sth. + happen +地点/时间”表示“某地/某时发生了某事”。

(2)“sth. + happen + to sb.”表示“某人出了某事(常指不好的事)”。

(4)“It happens / happened that ...”表示“碰巧或恰巧……”。

“It happens / happened that ...从句中的主语是人时，此结构可以与“sb. + happen + to do sth."结构互换。

= Peter happened to be at home that day.

noise (sound, especially an unpleasant sound)意为“声音;噪音”，既可作可数名词也可作不可数名词。
make a noise意为“发出噪音”。
其形容词为noisy,意为“吵闹的;嘈杂的”。
