When school started on that warm August day, I threw myself into everything I did, including playing volleyball. I decided to become beautiful, or at the very least, skinny. I stopped eating completely. Soon I began losing weight, which thrilled me, and I even grew to love the tiredness and lightheadedness (头晕) that came with my poor diet, for those feelings meant that I was winning.
As the season progressed, things had become tense between my head volleyball coach, Coach Smith, and me. She felt that something was wrong with my health. She talked with me about my eating and was angry that I wouldn't listen to her when she tried to make me eat. She tried to persuade me in a determined way so we fought constantly. Then my hunger started to affect my performance. I was so tired that practice and games were becoming a struggle. One afternoon, with hurt in her eyes, Coach Smith asked me what I had eaten and I told her nothing yet. She looked at me, with disappointment in her eyes, knowing she couldn't make me stop, and walked away.
A couple of weeks later, I attended a formal dinner for our volleyball team. I stood there as my coach managed to say something nice about me. I realized then that I had ruined my senior year by being disrespectful, and that I had probably hurt her as well. So that evening I wrote her a letter apologizing and thanking her.
Then one Saturday, as I was reading in the library, I felt someone gently take my arm and say softly, "Lynn Jones, how are you doing " I looked up and saw the familiar face. "Thanks for the letter," she said. "It meant a lot." When I think of a coach, I think of someone above me, someone who gives instructions—not a friend. But Coach Smith is different, and, like any other good friend, she dealt with my problem in a determined way even when I hated her for it at that time. I didn't deserve her kindness, but she gave it anyway. I will forever be grateful for her help, and now for her friendship.

4.What is the best title for the text
A.My Way of Losing Weight B.A Fight with My Coach
C.A Strict Volleyball Coach D.Unexpected Friendship

In order to achieve in math, science, English, history, geography, and other subjects, reading skills must be developed when the students are young. Students cannot struggle with word recognition(识别) when they should be reading quickly for understanding of a text. Have you ever been busy but felt unfulfilled (壮志未酬的) Yes, I have. My daily life centered around raising my youngest daughter, who I had just before my forty-fifth birthday. I was busy with endless housework, gardening chores, shopping and animal care. With a retired husband and a father who came to live with us in my family, I had tons of things to do. The weight of the world made my spirits low.
But then Janette walked into my life. Well, actually, she danced into my life. I met her at our community club, where she helped at a ballet class. When the eight of us got together for our first class, cries and complaints (抱怨) filled the small room.
"Oh! What happened to my toes " shouted Sally.
"I may need to buy dancing shoes for the next class," Alice held her legs together.
When Janette suggested after the class that I should join her dance group, I knew life surely planned this whole idea as a joke. She went on to explain that her group had three other ladies who were ill but felt happy because of songs and dances when recovering. Doubting what I had heard, I promised her I'd think about it.
I thought back to my younger years when I dreamed of becoming a famous singer and dancer. I had attended dance classes from Grade One throughout my high school. All I ever thought of was that I sang songs loudly around the house. I threw my head back and said, "Life, you really have a joke with me." But at the same time there was a voice in my heart that told me to go for it. It seemed that my boring routine life was about to become a lot more joyful.

Soon I began losing weight, which thrilled me, and I even grew to love the tiredness and lightheadedness(头晕) that came with my poor diet, for those feelings meant that I was winning."
She talked with me about my eating and was angry that I wouldn't listen to her when she tried to make me eat. She tried to persuade me in a determined way so we fought constantly."

Care must be taken during these early years not to put too much stress on the learning-to-read process"可知,在早期阶段家长要小心避免过度强调学习阅读的过程,即不要过度逼迫孩子。故选D。

Not doing sports increases teens' risk of developing many diseases. An active lifestyle offers a good way of protection from these health problems."
Students from programs with no physical activity, who used the extra time for classroom study, did not perform better on tests than those who gave up some study time in support of physical education."
But should high school students have physical education The answer is certainly 'yes'." 故选A。

C"It is important to have proper running shoes."
And in fact, running around new cities when traveling is great fun." E"That is a wonderful way to get to know a place."

The biggest blessings of all came from the audience. I was glad when I watched a woman in a wheelchair tap her toe to a song, and I loved hearing the laughter of a girl who hadn't spoken for days. Yes, we renewed the hearts of our audience, but to tell the truth, it was my heart that was renewed. I changed. And using my long-lost passion to make others joyful and getting new friendships allowed me to restart my wonderful life.
