Unit 12 The giant’s garden 教学设计
教学目标:
1. 知识目标:学生能够掌握故事内容,和基本单词与词组,并复习动词第三人称单数的用法。
2. 技能目标:学生能够理解、复述,分角色表演故事。
3. 情感目标:通过学习,学生体会到小组合作的快乐,学生懂得要对他人友善,以及分享的快乐。
学情分析:
本课授课对象是五年级的学生,注意力集中时间较长,但仍然喜欢参与体验的英语活动。本课中动词第三人称单数的学习,学生已经基本掌握。所以本课侧重对故事的完整性的复述,以及对情感的培养,培养学生懂得对他人友善和分享的快乐。
重点:
单词与词组 through be kind to no entry knock down等,
动词第三人称单数的用法。
难点:理解故事并复述表演故事。
教学过程:
Step 1. Warming up
1.Greeting
2.Show some storybooks and some characters.(show some pictures about different stories.)
Step 2. Presentation
1. Guessing“who is he ” (according to the description about the giant.)
Introduce the writer Oscar Wilde.
2. Enjoy the story
Play the video about the story and show the questions.
3. Answer questions: Where does the giant live
Who likes to play in the garden
Fill in blanks.(write the answers on the paper and check .)
4. Choose and say: Why does the giant build a wall
How is the giant
Tick and say(talk with partners)
If you are the giant, what will you do
5. Listen and number, judge true or false.
6. Read picture 7 to picture 9,and fill in blanks.
7. Role play , act out the happy ending.
Giant: How beautiful! Hooray! Miss Spring is here!
Children: We’re so sorry. Can we play here
Giant: OK! Children! Welcome to my garden!
It’s our garden.
Child 1: Really Yeah!
Giant: Let’s knock down the wall. OK
Child 2: OK! Let’s play together.
Miss Spring: The garden is beautiful again!
Step 3. Post-task activities
1. Retell the ending of the story.
It is always winter in the giant’s garden. The giant feels ___ and lonely.
