pardon用作及物动词，意为“宽恕；原谅”，后接名词、代词或动
词-ing形式作宾语，也可接双宾语。常用结构：pardon sb. for (doing)sth. “原谅某人做某事”。

疑问词引导的宾语从句
语法重点 ：这个单元我们继续学习由疑问词引导的宾语从句。
疑问词：疑问代词(what、whom、who、whose、which)
(引导词) 疑问副词(when、where、why、how)。

特殊疑问句作宾语从句时不需要再加连接词，疑问词就是连接词，并且不能省略。
宾语从句引导词及语序的变化:

特殊疑问句 特殊疑问词 陈述语序
陈述语序, 即“引导词 + 主语+谓语+其他”。
（1）当宾语从句是特殊疑问句时，疑问词就是宾语从句的引导词。连接代词who，whom，whose，which，what和连接副词where，how，why，when可引导宾语从句，并在从句中作一定成分。不可省略。

（2）在含有宾语从句的复合句中，宾语从句要用陈述语序。因此当特殊疑问句作宾语 从句时，一定要注意语序。

语序的变化
当疑问代词what/who在特殊疑问句中作主语时，该特殊疑问句本身即是陈述语序，所以转变成宾语从句后无需再调整语序。
“What’s wrong with the TV ” Tom asks. = Tom asks what’s wrong with the TV.
宾语从句可转化成“疑问词+动词不定式”结构
（3）宾语从句可转化成“疑问词 + 动词不定式”结构。
在含有疑问词引导的宾语从句的主从复合句中，如果从句的主语与主句的主语或宾语一致，则宾语从句可以转化为“疑问词 + 动词不定式”结构。
