教学对象分析
经过四年多的英语学习，学生们基本上适应了轻松愉快的英语学习节奏，绝大多数同学培养了良好的听说习惯，喜欢直观形象思维，对游戏、竞赛、表演等活动特别感兴趣。学生具备一定的听说能力，能用英语进行简单的打招呼，可以用英语描述相关的物品。但是，他们的注意力往往不易集中。因此，在设计课堂教学活动时一定要根据学生的情况，采用灵活多样的教学方法来吸引学生的注意，努力营造玩中学、学中玩的教学情境。课堂上尽量以鼓励表扬为主，鼓励学生开口说英语，让他们尝试成功的喜悦。
就本单元内容而言，学生运用一般现在时的肯定句句型，结合First,… Next,… Then,… Finally,…来描述人们是如何来过圣诞节的。(圣诞节是学生熟悉的西方节日，在学生熟练地使用这几个表示顺序的词描述课文之后，我们还可以导入一些其他的节日，让学生对词语和句型进行巩固。)
教学目标
本单元的单元主题是At Christmas。以圣诞节为话题，用一般现在时的肯定句句型，结合First,… Next,… Then,… Finally,…来描述人们是如何来过圣诞节的。通过学习，让学生来了解西方国家是如何过圣诞节的。
