How is tea produced？ Tea plants are grown on the sides of mountains. When the leaves are ready, they are picked by hand and then are sent for processing.
Active Voice：People grow tea in Hangzhou. Passive Voice：Tea is grown(by people) in Hangzhou.
被动语态
(一)概念：英语中动词有两种语态：主动语态和被动语态。主动语态表示主语是动作的执行者，被动语态表示主语是动作的承受者。
People grow tea in Hangzhou.
Tea is grown(by people) in Hangzhou.
(二)构成：被动语态由“be＋及物动词的过去分词”构成，其中be有人称、数和时态的变化。
I am often asked the questions by my pupils.
You aren’t allowed to take photos.
(三)主动语态变为被动语态的方法
第一步:将主动语态的宾语改为被动语态的主语；
第二步:将主动语态的谓语改为“be+及物动词的过去分词”结构；
第三步:将主动语态的主语改为介词by的宾语，放在 谓语之后(有时可省略)。

(四)被动语态的用法
1.不知道或不必提及动作的执行者

2.强调动作的执行者

这顶漂亮的帽子是我奶奶给我的。
3.强调动作的承受者
The TV was invented after the car． 电视是在汽车之后发明的。
4.动作的执行者是无生命的事物
The bridge was washed away by flood.
桥被洪水沖走了。
5.常用于陈述客观事实，一般用在科技文章或新闻报道中

6.部分动词短语/句型在习惯上只用于被动语态
