Welcome to Greyhound Lines! Feel free to explore the bus features. We want you to feel at home when you travel with us. So our buses have plenty of features to help you relax, like comfy leather seats and lots of legroom (plus free Wi-Fi, onboard entertainment and power outlets so you can still be an armchair surfer).
Free Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is free on all our buses, for all passengers. We see it as a must-have these days, not a premium( 高 级 的 ) feature. So go ahead, check your emails or Instagram window scenery from the road (we'd love if you tag it). Please don't stream video during your journey, though
we've all got to share the bandwidth(宽带)!
Personal Power Outlets(插座)
Nearly every seat has its own standard power outlet, so you can keep your devices charged all the way to your destination. Getting off with a fully charged phone is extra handy if you're
navigating around a new place.
Extra Legroom
When designing our new and updated buses, we actually removed a whole row of seats rather than trying to squeeze more in. So there's always space to stretch out when you ride
with Greyhound. (Our bus designers must have been really tall.)
Eco-friendly
Every Greyhound bus is fully equipped with the latest technology to burn fuel cleanly, reducing our impact on the environment. Check out the Going Green page for more of our
eco-efforts, and techy facts on things like low-sulfur fuel.

In the United States, farmers who are trying to earn money find the situation difficult to deal with. The United States Department of Agriculture found that more than half of the small farms in California do not make money. But the United Nations reported at least one third of the food is wasted by not selling it out in time.
One California farm family is using social media to change the situation and reduce wasted food. Nick Papadopoulos is the manager of Bloomfield Farms in Sonoma County. He was sad and worried to watch his employees returning from some weekend farmers’ markets with top quality unsold products.
Mr. Papadopoulos said he would find boxes of leaf greens and carrots left in a storehouse. The vegetables would go bad before the next market day. One night, he began thinking about the matter of wasted food when he didn’t know how to deal with 32 cases of broccoli (西兰花). Usually he would give it to chickens and use the rest to make fertilizer (肥料). He thought he shouldn’t let the farm products go to waste.
Then his daughter showed him a book she bought online. Suddenly it hit him that he could offer the food at a low price by advertising it on the farm’s Facebook page on Sunday nights. The deals were open to anyone using the social media website. In the first week, some neighbors came to his home to buy the vegetables. Another week, the buyers were a group of friends. And now many people wait to buy his cheap products.
After his success, Mr. Papadopoulos helped to set up a website called , which is a place where people deal with food production at low prices, feeding the hungry. Since March, the website has stopped more than 20, 000 kilograms of food from going to waste.

Elephants are truly incredible animals. August 12 is World Elephant Day, which means to help save elephants. What do you know about elephants Here are some facts you may not know.
We know that elephants are large. But do you know that elephants often avoid eating a type of acacia tree (金合欢树) Because it is home to ants and an elephant doesn’t want to get the ants inside its trunk. Its trunk is full of sensitive endings.

Male elephants leave the female group between the age of 12 and 15. But they aren’t loners. They live in all-male groups.
Asian elephants don’t run. Running requires lifting all four feet at once. But elephants filmed in Thailand always keep at least two on the ground at all times.
Elephants have passed the mirror test. They recognize themselves in a mirror. According to tests, great apes, and dolphins also have this ability.
Elephants can get sunburned so they can take care to protect themselves. “Elephants will throw sand on their backs and on their heads to keep them from getting sunburned and to keep off bugs off.” said Tony Barthel, working at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. A selection of wildlife sculptures made out of recycled rubbish is being displayed at an exhibition at the Harley Gallery in Glasgow, England. The sculptures have been created by Glasgow--based artist Michelle Reader, who has been working with recycled materials for over 20 years. The inspiration behind this collection of artwork was the increase in fly-tipping during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Fly-tipping is when people illegally dump rubbish or litter in a public place.
Reader told the BBC, “Glasgow Wildlife Trust showed me some of the materials that were found on their reserves—a washing machine, rusty bike frame, car tyres” She decided to create wildlife sculptures out of these materials to encourage people to think about the damage fly-tipping can do to the environment and wildlife. Her three-dimensional artworks included recycled items such as skis, a gas mask, and washing machine parts.
Reader often drew inspiration from the “beauty of the natural world,” and said that the large model of the white-tailed bee was inspired by the many hours she spent on her distribution during the pandemic. Another sculpture, a bearded eagle, was inspired by the sighting of one such bird in the Peak District in July 2020. This was only the second time it had been spotted in the UK.
Other projects Reader has been involved with have highlighted issues such as the importance of recycling and reducing food waste. In April, the National Space Centre in Leicester, England, launched their Home Planet gallery, which featured an art installation from Reader. Using rubbish found in rivers, such as plastic bottles, tennis balls, footwear, and toys, Reader created a large wave sculpture to highlight the problem of littering.
Reader says that through her sculptures she draws attention to environmental issues in an attractive and humorous way. The exhibition is on at Harley Gallery in Glasgow, England, until 24 July.

We collected the latest research and talked to health, financial, and wellness experts to uncover the most important things you can do to keep the spring in your step and a healthy balance in your bank account through the years. 36

Going outside, especially into a green space, is an easy way to improve your well-being and mental state, says Lori Gottlieb, a psychotherapist and the author of Maybe You Should Talk to Someone. “I actually make it a point to go outside every day,” she says. “I'll walk around the block, breathe, and look at the sky. It’s like pushing the reset button.” 39 Researchers from University of Alabama found that spending just 20 minutes in a park led to a 64 percent increase in life satisfaction even if you just sit on a bench.

Yes, you’ve heard it before, but decades of research show that exercise improves your health, lifts your mood, and lengthens your life. In fact, Harvard researchers found that as little as 15 minutes of moderate physical activity a day can increase your life span by three years. 40 Ball State University researchers found that people in their 70s who were lifelong exercisers were indistinguishable in many ways from healthy people 30 years younger.
Simple as these tips are, they have proven to be very useful if carried out on a regular basis. To live long and prosper, you always have a choice.
