Analysis of the Teaching Material 本课是一节听说课。首先1a以选择电影院为话题呈现描述电影院特点、品质的词汇,该语境中引人入相关短语以及目标语言。问题How do you choose which movie theater to go to 引导学生对电影院场所、硬件设施等条件进行分析比较。1b-1c围绕Movie World,Town Cinema和Screen city三家电影院展开品质对比,单元语法重点项目形容词和副词的最高级也在语境中自然呈现。 2a-2c围绕Green city 展开调查,对比服装店和电台,总结哪家是最好的服装店和电台
。2d新到小镇的Greg 与Helen进行对话,就社区基本情况做了解,对单元重点语言结构的总结和训练。因为这是本单元第一课时,对其基础地位和铺垫作用应予以高度重视,课堂任务应该追求语言学习的实践和应用能力的提升。
Analysis of the Students 学生经过Unit3的学习,已经接触形容词和副词的比较级,到本单元学习一些单音节和多音节形容词的比较级和最高级,并用其表述自己的喜好,教学内容与学生实际生活密切相关,容易调动学生已有的基础知识,激发学习兴趣及课堂参与的积极性。该班学困生多,选择学生熟悉与喜欢的事物进行“比较”内容的教学,提学生学习兴趣。精简重点词汇与句型,分层次记忆与操练。加强课后的个别辅导,使他们在理解的基础上,能进行重点句型的朗读与仿写。为了推进话题的顺利进行,事先准备好本地区不同电影院的第一手资料,让学生有了真实比较之后再进行语言的输出。通过各种方式对新句型与新单词进行反复大量的操练达到语用的目的。

Step 1Lead-in 1. T plays a video and ask: Do you like to go to the movies Where do you usually watch movies 2.T shows some picture of famous films and asks Ss to talk about it. 观看视频,回答老师问题。看图片,猜出电影名称。 利用视频材料,引入本课主题—电影院,引导学生谈论,在讨论的过程中,激发学生学习兴趣,活跃课堂气氛。
Step 2Pre-listening 1.New words Learning.2.Game Time.3.T asks: How do you choose which movie theater to go to then shows some pictures, helps Ss to say: big screens / comfortable seats / cheap tickets / the best sound. and leads Ss to talk about it. 学习新词。学生通过游戏方式,更快更好的掌握目标词汇。学生通过图片感知电影院的特点,讨论然后完成书本1a习题。跟着老师获取电影雏形知识。 通过游戏巩固新词,趣味性帮助学生记忆所学内容。通过图片展现,便于学生更好的电影院的特点。
Step3While-listening 1.T leads Ss to pay attention to the sentences in the chart of 1b. make sure they know the meaning of the sentences. 2.T plays the recording for the Ss to listen and match the statement with the right movie theaters. 3.T plays the recording again. Ask Ss to match the people with the right movie theaters.4.T asks: Which movie theater will you choose Why then give the answers.5. T lets Ss read the model in 1c with a partner. then asks Ss to talk about the movie theaters they know. 6. T asks Ss to look at the picture in 2a and tells them that a reporter is interviewing a boy about the best clothes store and the best radio station in Green City.7.T let Ss read the questions in 2a. then plays the record and ask Ss to listen and circle the boy’s answers. 8.T plays the record for the students again. And check the students’ answers later. 看表格,初步了解最高级的词意和表现形式。听录音,抓取关键词,将对应的电影院填入表格。再次听录音,将Anna、Julie及Jill和电影院匹配。跟着老师总结Anna、Julie及Jill的选择原因。 运用最高级分角色练习对话,完成1c。 根据图片,了解听力大意。学生先看问题,再听录音并完成2a选择。先看2b信息,听第二遍,完成2b填空。听第三遍,并复述对话。 听的过程中获取关键信息,进行信息匹配。进一步掌握最高级的使用。进行口语输出,巩固目标语言。给予听力策略指导,帮助学生有针对性地去听。带着目标问题去听录音,培养学生听中提取关键信息的能力。
