Lesson 27 Planet Danny
一、语篇研读
What：本课语篇是Danny、Jenny和Brian有关探索天文系的对话。对话中，三人以Danny在院子里用小型望远镜观察天空为话题，Jenny和Brian告诉Danny如何正确使用望远镜，以及需要用更大、更专业的望远镜去观察行星。
Why：Danny、Jenny和Brian在现实生活情境中幽默的对话可以帮助学生了解何时适合观察星星、该用什么工具观察你想看到的行星以及太阳系的奥秘，同时能够主动地关注和探索宇宙的奥秘，学习在新情境中运用相关知识和技能去描述你所观察的东西和得到的结论。
How：本课的语篇内容是Danny、Jenny和Brian在院子里的对话，主要目的是探索太阳系的奥秘。由于是与亲近的人通话，对话体现了非正式语体的主要特征。对话可以分为两个部分：第一部分主要是Jenny告诉Danny如何正确的使用望远镜的两端以及想看到星星必须在下午日落之后；第二部分主要是Brian告诉Danny他想看到的行星用小型望远镜是看不到的，科学家们往往用更大的仪器去观察行星。这部分包含了观察太阳系可以学到的主题词汇，如telescope、planet、universe等，以及让学生感受到宇宙的奥秘之处如“The universe is a mystery”、“Maybe we will find other amazing things.”等。
对话中Danny、Jenny和Brian使用了even if引导的状语从句准确传达信息。用将来时will do表达对未来探索宇宙的美好愿望。
二、教学目标
通过本课的学习，学生能够：
获取Danny、Jenny和Brian在对话中谈到的有关天文知识的信息，包括有关望远镜的使用、以及如何用正确的工具在正确的时间进行观察。
2.基于正确的观察方式，讲述运用望远镜所能观察到的信息，以及表达对太阳系的感受；认识到科技的发展以及对大自然的热爱。
3.运用相关的语言表达方式，与同伴角色扮演，谈论对方想要探索的天文知识以及给对方正确的工具建议。
教学重点：掌握本课节的重点单词、短语和句型。
教学难点：能够用英语谈论太阳系及如何使用望远镜。
三、教学过程（依据教学目标设计教学活动）
【教学目标】基于正确的观察方式，讲述运用望远镜所能观察到的信息，以及表达对太阳系的感受；认识到科技的发展以及对大自然的热爱。（学习理解）
【教学活动】
Step 1 Warming up
Show students pictures of the solar system and the Milky Way. Then have a talk with them about the pictures.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Teach the new words certainly, unless, double, telescope, mystery with the help of pictures and the words that students have learned.
2. Read the new words at least three times and try to remember them.
【设计意图】学生观察有关太阳系的图片，讨论自己看到了什么，以及基于自己的知识基础上可以分享给大家还有哪些奥秘之处等待探索，吸引学生的兴趣。图片展示新单词，让学生加深印象。
Step 3 Thinking about
Ask students to talk about the following questions:
1. Do you know any of the planets in the solar system
2. What would you like to look at with a telescope
Step 4 Listening
1. Play the recording of the dialogue for the class to listen and answer the following questions.
2. Play the recording of the dialogue again and tick the correct answers.

【设计意图】学生听读录音，第一遍听，回答简单的两道问题，第二遍小声跟读，回答细节问题：Danny用望远镜的目的、以及他需要什么工具可以观察到行星。
Step 5 Reading
1. Get the class to read the lesson carefully and write true (T) or false (F). (Let’s Do It! No. 1)
2. Get some students to say the basis of their judgment in the lesson.
3. Get the class to read the lesson again and fill in the blanks. (Let’s Do It! No.3)
【设计意图】学生阅读课文，第一遍快速浏览全文，提取关键信息判断正误。第二遍仔细阅读，提取细节完成填空题。阅读后找出本课的重点短语并翻译。
Step 6 Pair work
Let students role play the dialogue. Then select some students to show it in front of the class.
Step 7 Group work
Let students talk about the following questions in their group. (Let’s Do It! No.4)

【设计意图】同桌活动：角色扮演，在班级前复述课文。小组活动：讨论宇宙的奥秘之处，假如你是宇航员，你会想去探索什么地方。激发学生的学习兴趣。重难点知识讲解，做笔记。
【效果评价】观察学生完成听读任务的表现，了解学生听力的水平。根据学生阅读文章回答问题的表现，观察到学生阅读速度、对细节的把握程度。根据学生在小组活动中的表现，评价其逻辑语言表达能力。观察学生在探索天文知识表现出的好奇心，给予指引，激发学生对大自然的热爱。
