本节阅读教学内容是人教版八年级上册第二单元的第四课时。本单元主题是业余活动 ,属于人与自我的主题范畴,涉及健康、文明的行为习惯与生活方式的子主题。在听说课谈论业余活动,日常饮食习惯的基础上,本课语篇将引导学生自我反思,合理安排业余生活,具有鲜明的主题意义和育人价值。该语篇内容是第五中学学生运动、互联网的使用,看电视三个课余活动的调查结果的报告,其中,第二到五自然段报告的结果,所用语言源于听说课的业余活动频率的描述,该语言也为下节课的写作教学内容描述习惯提供了语言支持。第六自然段对调查中发现的问题提出了建议,所用语言对该主题下议论文的写作也有重要的示范作用,可用于好习惯、保持健康和减压等话题

的作文中。教材中对本语篇的活动设计注重阅读能力的训练,2a为读前活动,通过排序任务,激活学生的业余活动背景知识 ,2b要求学生摘取报告中的数据信息,并以图表的方式呈现出来.2c—2d通过回答问题和转述数字信息的方式来引导学生继续深入理解语篇,侧重对文章的细节和深层理解,并关注了相关的语言表达。2e是一个读后拓展活动,让学生调查同学的课余活动方式及活动频率,并仿照2b中提供的示范做一个饼图。可见,本节课的学习,对学生本单元的学习有承上启下的重要意义。学生不仅可以学会百分数的用法、统计类文章的结构等语言知识及阅读技能,还有助于帮助他们养成健康的生活习惯,促进学生核心素养的发展。

本节课的授课对象是八年级的学生,具有一定的基础能力.“学生课余活动”这一话题非常贴近学生的生活,学生应该有很高的热情来投入阅读,并且,学生在此之前也已经积累了很多课外活动的表达, 以及谈论这些活动的频度副词、表达单位时间内频度次数的方式,特别是询问活动频率的问句及答语(How often…),但是调查报告这一文体学生还是首次接触,教师应帮助学生读懂文章的同时,关注语篇结构以及阅读策略。

We found that only fifteen percent of our students exercise every day. Forty-five percent exercise four to six times a week. Twenty percent exercise only one to three times a week. And twenty percent do not exercise at all!
We all know that many students often go online, but we were surprised that ninety percent of them use the Internet every day. The other ten percent use it at least three or four times a week. Most students use it for fun and not for homework.
The answers to our questions about watching television were also interesting. Only two percent of the students watch TV one to three times a week. Thirteen percent watch TV four to six times a week. And eighty-five percent watch TV every day! Although many students like to watch sports, game shows are the most popular.
