1.部分双音节和多音节形容词,在前面加more构成比较级。
e.g. beautiful→more beautiful careful→more careful
dangerous→more dangerous delicious→more delicious
副词的基本用法和比较级
1.用法:副词主要用来修饰动词、形容词和副词。
e.g. She plays the piano badly. 她钢琴弹得很糟。
副词一般置于动词之后,形容词和副词之前。
e.g. She is really nice when you get to know her. 当你了解她,就知道她确实很好。
2. 形容词变副词的规则变化:
(1)形容词加-ly构成,只有少数是不规则变化。
e.g. careful+ly→carefully safe+ly→safely
(2)以辅音字母加y结尾的形容词,去y加ily. e.g. busy+ly→busily heavy+ly→heavily
(3)形容词变副词的不规则变化:early — early、hard — hard、late —late 、 good — well
3.单音节和少数双音节副词的比较级:
直接在词尾加-er fast-faster
hard-harder
以字母e结尾的词加-r late-later
重读闭音节词且词尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加-er big-bigger(形容词)
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词,变“y” 为 “i”,再加-er early-earlier
