教学重点: 1.Students get the basic information about three traditional Chinese art forms, like sky lanterns, paper cutting and clay art; 2.Students get to know what to talk about when introducing traditional Chinese arts; 教学难点: 1.Students get to know the outline of the passage and summarize the frame structure of it; 2.Students develop the love and interest for Chinese traditional art forms and have a strong belief in the brand “Made in China”.
教学过程
Step 1. Warming up & Pre- reading 1.Read the learning aims on the screen. 2.Watch a short video about the Handcraft Club.Then the teacher shows some beautiful objects of the club to the class (lantern, clay flower, paper-cutting) and have a free talk with them: What’s it made of Who are they made by 3.Tell the students that there are three projects in the club: bamboo, paper and clay, and ask them: Suppose you are the leader of the Handcraft Club, how can you attract more students to join the club 5.Students try to think about what to talk about when introducing traditional Chinese arts. 【设计思路】一段“妙手生花”手工艺术社团的视频,学生感受手工社团之魅力,并能从解说词中捕捉到本课的一些相关语言信息,从而为课堂营造一个轻松愉快的氛围。教师从社团招新说明会导入,引起学生兴趣,让学生乐于在阅读材料中了解中国传统手工艺术作品的信息,找到自己喜欢的社团项目。通过问题设置“在介绍中国传统艺术品的时候,需要谈论哪些要素”,引发学生的思考。此任务重在引导学生在自然而真实的情境中进入本课阅读任务。 Step 2. While-reading 1.Students read the article quickly, and they are supposed to have an overall grasp of the article and find out the frame structure of it. Part 1 Para. 1 general introduction Part 2 Para. 2、3、4 specific details and examples 2. Read the article carefully paragraph by paragraph, and then answer some detail questions of each art form. 3.Complete the mind map of each art form,and have a better understanding about the details of each traditional Chinese art. 4.The students fill in the chart and use the information in the chart to retell the text. 【设计思路】通过精读文章,完成重点段落的思维导图;掌握阅读技巧,从总体把握文章框架,到获取具体信息,完成设置的各种阅读任务,深层次地了解中国传统手工艺术作品的魅力。从而使学生能顺利地运用有效信息复述课文。 Step 3. Summary Students summarize the six elements when introducing traditional Chinese arts: materials, history, function, how to make them, occasions, symbols. 【设计思路】回应读前活动设置的问题,总结出在介绍中国传统艺术品时需要谈论的,为学生完成课后作业做好铺垫。 Step 4. Post-reading 1. The students complete the club poster with the six elements and introduce his or her favorite art form. 2.The students have a brainstorm. They are supposed to give a key word from common things to beauty. The key word given by the teacher is “creativity”. Anyone can be a “Maker” if one has “craftsman spirit”. And everyone should have the Chinese dream: “Made in China” will be a leading brand in the world! 【设计思路】学生在完成阅读任务的基础上,对社团的主要项目充分了解,选择一个项目完善手工社团海报并向全班同学展示说明。通过本节课的阅读,学生领略到了中国传统手工艺术作品之美。教师鼓励学生善于通过慧眼和巧手从普通事物中创造美,从而激发创新意识、发扬工匠精神,努力做新时代的小创客, 让“Made in China”成为世界的响亮品牌。 Step 6. Homework Writing:Fan painting is another kind of Chinese traditional art in the club.Use the six elements to write a short passage about it. Directions: 1. Try to use Passive Voice to make sentences. 2.Write from general to specific. 3. At least 100 words. 【设计思路】运用本节课阅读所学到的知识和方法,写一篇介绍社团另一个传统手工艺品“扇画”的小短文,达到以读促写、拓展新知的目的。
