Although为连词，意为“虽然，尽管”，与though同义。
注意 在英语中，当表示“虽然…但是…”这样的意思时，although和but不能再同一个句子里同时存在。也就是说在同一个句子中有although就没有but，有but就没有although。
Although many students like to watch sports, game shows are the most popular.虽然很多学生喜欢看体育节目，但游戏节目是最受欢迎的。
although是连词，意为“虽然，即使，纵然”，引导让步状语从句，相当于 though，大多数情况下两者可互换。注意：although 引导的从句不能与but 连用，有although 就没有 but（即 although but不同现）。
