教材分析 本单元以为学生奠定英语学习为基础围绕“ What’s this in English ”这个主题让学生在完成各项任务的过程中学会语言,真正体现“learn by doing,Learn through doing.”的教学原则。让学生学会并掌握英文字母I—R。本单元所蕴含课程思政目标为:通过掌握英语缩写字母P、NBA,kg的含义,引申出中文中缩写字母CCTV、CBA、P、kg等的意思,感受中国文字的博大精深。
学情分析 本单元要求学生掌握英文字母I—R,能认读印刷体和手写体字母的大小写等四种形式,书写(大小写、笔顺、笔画)根本符合要求。由于字母学习是基础,学生掌握起来会相对容易,本单元通过“认物”课题,用英语确认周围常见事物比较符合英语初学者的实际情况,学生可以通过本单元教学运用所学句型,去熟悉周围的事物名称,教学生学会在实际生活中如何辨认,通过辨认,学到一些生词,并巩固所学句型。

导入新课 Ask the students to translate the following Chinese into English. First ask the students to put them into English orally, then let them write English down without looking at the textbooks.
