形容词的比较级、最高级的变化形态:
单音节词在词尾加er或est
eg. short - shorter - the shortest
hard - harder - the hardest
2、“e”结尾,只加r或st
eg. large - larger - the largest
brave - braver - the bravest
以辅音+“y”,先变y为i, 再加er或est
eg. heavy - heavier - the heaviest
early - earlier - the earliest
以元音+“y”,在词尾加er或est
eg. grey - greyer - the greyest
双音节词和多音节词,都在前面加more或the most
eg. beautiful - more beautiful - the most beautiful
difficult - more difficult - the most difficult
不规则变化
eg. many/much - more - the most
good/well - better - the best
bad/ill - worse - the worst
在比较级中,需要用介词than
eg. Mike has more books (than Jim).
最高级的限定范围一般用of,among,in等介词短语
eg. He is the tallest (of the three boys).
She has the most beautiful garden (in our town).

Joe Sanders has the most beautiful garden in our town.
乔桑德斯拥有我们镇上最漂亮的花园。
有:have(非单数第三人称作主语)—I/we/you/they
has (单数第三人称作主语)—— he/she/it
拥有:have = own(s) = possess(es)
改成否定句: Joe doesn’t have the most beautiful garden.改改成一般疑问句:Does Joe have the most beautiful garden
改:Joe’s garden is the most beautiful garden in our town.
省:Joe’s is the most beautiful garden in our town.
Nearly everybody enters for ‘The Nicest Garden Competition' each year, but Joe wins every time.

nearly 几乎,将近 = almost
eg. It is nearly one o’clock. 快1点了。(接近1点钟了)。
