举行演出 give a performance = put on a performance
perform(v.) 演出，表演，履行，执行
eg. They will perform a play tonight.
= They will give us a performance tonight.

★ occasion [ ke n] n. 场合，时机
(音同：decision 决定)
on this occasion 在这种场合
formal occasion 正式场合
informal occasion 非正式场合
occasionally (adv.) adv. 有时候 = sometimes
【本课时态】
现在进行时态: be + doing
时刻进行时 （表示此刻、目前、现在，动作正在进行）
eg. What are you doing now
We are having an English lesson now.
阶段进行时（表示现阶段，动作正在进行）
eg. What are you doing these days
I am learning English these days.
将来进行时态： will + be + doing
1、打算做某事，准备做某事，计划做某事 = be going to do
eg.They will be coming by train.
他们打算坐火车来。
将来某一时刻动作正在进行
eg. I will be having an English lesson at 2:30 next Monday.
下周一2:30我将正在上课。
将来某一时段动作正在进行
eg. I will be having an English lesson from 1:30 to 2:30 next
Monday. 下周一从1:30到2:30我将正在上课。

The Greenwood Boys are a group of pop singers.
“绿林少年”是一个流行歌曲演唱团。

At present, they are visiting all parts of the country.
目前他们正在全国各地巡回演出。
at present 现在，此刻，目前（现在进行时态）
= now
= at this moment(片断，片刻)
at that moment 在那时（一般过去时态）

all parts of the world 世界各地
They will be arriving here tomorrow.
明天就要到达此地。
= They are going to arrive here tomorrow.
will be arriving = be going to arrive 将要做某事
They will be coming by train and most of the young people in the town will be meeting them at the station.
他们将乘火车来，镇上的大部分青年人将到车站迎接他们。
will be coming = are going to come 打算来
by + 交通工具：乘坐交通工具
by taxi/ by underground/ by plane/ by ship
will be meeting = are going to meet 打算见
most of the young people
原级 比较级 最高级
many/much more the most 许多
[c]/[u]
most of the young people 大多数/大部分年轻人
= most young people(people是集合名词，出现即为复数)
介词词组in the town作后置定语，用来修饰前面的名词people
meet(v.)（met met）(同音异义词：meat肉)
遇见，遇到
eg. We met her at a restaurant. 我们在饭店遇见了她。
和…会面，迎接（约会的地点和时间）
eg. who will meet you when you arrive in London
当我到伦敦的时候，谁来接我呢？
（经介绍初次见面）和…相识/见面
eg. Nice to meet you! 很高兴见到你！
Tomorrow evening they will be singing at the Workers’ Club.
明晚他们将在工人俱乐部演出。
will be singing = be going to sing
Workers’ 的（名词所有格）
eg. 单数：mother — mother’s ； boss — boss’s
复数：children — children’s； teachers — teachers’
The Greenwood Boys will be staying for five days.
“绿林少年”准备在此逗留5天。
will be staying = be going to stay 打算逗留
During this time, they will give five performances.
在此期间，他们将演出5场。
during 在此期间
will give 一般将来时态（will do + 所有人称）
shall give 一般将来时态（shall do + 第一人称:I/we）
give five performances 表演5场
As usual, the police will have a difficult time.
同往常一样，警察的日子将不好过。
as usual 像往常一样，照例
than usual 比平常
will have 一般将来时态
police 复数（policeman 单——policemen 复）

= have a hard time

eg. keep order 维持治安
in order 井然有序
out of order 无序，（指机器、身体器官等）有毛病，坏了
The air conditioner is out of order. 空调坏了，出故障。
（2）v. 命令
eg. The doctor ordered a strict diet.
医生嘱咐严格控制饮食。
（3）v. 订购
eg. order a piece of furniture 订购一件家具
It is always the same on these occasions.
每逢这种场合，情况都是这样。
always 总是，一直(常用于一般现在时态)
usually 通常
often 经常
sometimes 有时
the same 表示情况相同
