步骤一：（Pre-reading）
活动1 （Warming-up） Watch a video about SPACE: THE FINAL FRONTIER.
设计意图 视频导入1，吸引学生的学习兴趣，并导入话题。
活动2 （Lead-in） Learning objectives: 1.To read about the development and value of space exploration. 2.Learn some useful expressions in the text.
设计意图 确保在正式上课之前，明确本节课的学习目标和内容。
活动3 （Pre-reading） Watch a video about SPACE EXPLORATION.
设计意图 导入与本节有关的视频，为后续展开阅读提供背景知识支持。
步骤二：（While-reading）
活动1 （Fast-reading） Discuss with group members to match the step with each paragraph. (group study activities) Main ideas of the essay.
设计意图 通过泛读,以快速浏览课文关键节点的方式，达到大概了解文章的整体轮廓和简要文章意思。
活动2 （Careful-reading） Read the passage on textbook to get more information about the Space Exploration. 1.Careful reading (group study activities) 2．Read the passage as carefully as you can to get more details. （连线、阅读、问答、填表) (group study activities) 3.Brief conclusion(各个环节小结）
设计意图 通过精读，以及形式多样的题型训练，引导学生了解太空探索文化的状况和前沿发展。通过自己的对比，树立自己国家的文化自信。
活动3 （Further-learning） It is strongly recommended that the teacher should ask students to discuss the topic freely with their partners and brainstorm some ideas concerning the topic. In this way, students can come up with more ideas and avoid being nervous at the beginning of the class.
设计意图 通过细读本阅读材料。然后通过学习课文，使学生感受太空探索，以及树立自己国家的文化自信的意识。
步骤三：（Post-reading）
活动1 （Post-reading） 1. Skim the text and finish the reading exercises in your study group. (group study activities) 2. Check the answers with your study group members.
设计意图 通过合作学习对比，形成自己的学习情感以及文化自信，然后对自己有何启示展开讨论，培养学生的合作意识，逻辑批判性和创新性思维。
活动2 （Summary） 1.Make a brief summary with the students together. Then end the text of this period. 2.Moreover, the teacher will set up the homework for today.
设计意图 总结本节所学知识，查漏补缺，形成自己的知识体系。
活动3 （Homework） 1. Review the main ideas of the passage.
2. Review the key words and expressions.
3. Pre-view the next essay by yourself.
设计意图 适当设置本节的作业，有助于学生课后消化课文知识和巩固所学过的语言点。
