（一）where引导的特殊疑问句
特殊疑问句是以疑问词开始的以寻求信息为目的的疑问句。
1.where用于询问人或物品的位置，常用句式为“Where＋be（am/is/are）＋主语？”，其中be（am/is/are）的形式取决于后面的主语。
2.回答时不可用Yes或No，而要根据实际情况回答所在的地点。通常我们用“主语＋be（am/is/are）＋介词短语”来回答。为避免与问句中的名词重复，答句中的主语一般用人称代词代替，或者也可以直接用介词短语回答。这里所说的介词短语，其构成为“介词＋限定词＋名词”。如：
—Where is/Where’s Tom？汤姆在哪？
—He is in the room./In the room.
他在房间里。/在房间里。
—Where are my notebooks？
我的笔记本在哪？
—They are on Mike’s desk./On Mike’s desk.
它们在迈克的桌子上。/在迈克的桌子上。
（二）方位介词in、on与under的用法
表示方位的介词in、on、under通常与名词组成介词短语，指明物品所在的具体方位，其结构为“方位介词＋定冠词the/不定冠词a/an形容词性物主代词＋名词”。
1.on表示“在……上”，强调物体表面有直接的接触。如：
The cup is on the table. 杯子在桌子上。
2.in表示“在……里”，强调物体在某个范围或空间之内。如：
in the room 在房间里； in the box在盒子里
3.under表示“在……下面”，强调物体在某物的正下方，两者之间不接触。如：
My shoes are under the bed. 我的鞋在床下面。
