work as+职业：担任...；担任...工作
例如：He works as a doctor in the hospital.他在医院当医生。
1)as做介词，译为：作为，后接短语（名词或者代词）
1. 随着...
例如：as time goes by随着时间流逝；
as children grow older随着孩子们年纪增长
2. 当...时候
例如：Just as the flying worm hit her, she burst into tears.当飞虫撞到她时，她大哭起来
3. 一边...一边
例如：The girl dances as she sings on the stage.女孩在舞台上一边唱一边跳
2)as做连词，引导时间状语从句，
译为：1.随着 2.当...时候 3.一边...一边，后接句子
例如：Jenny was very sad for the loss of the pen, as it was a gift from her mother.
Jenny对于丢失这钢笔非常难过，因为那是她妈妈送她的礼物。
3)as做连词，引导原因状语从句（比较明显的原因），译为：由于...，后接句子：
例如：Child as he is, he knows a lot.
虽然他是一个孩子，他知道很多。
Young as he is, he knows a lot.
虽然他很年轻，他知道很多。
4)as做连词，引导让步状语从句，译为：虽然，需要用倒装句（难点）：
例如：The students did as their teacher told them.
学生们按照老师说的做了。
5)as做连词，引导方式状语从句，译为：像...一样，后接句子：
例如：Nobody is as careless as Tom.
没有人像Tom那样粗心
6)as做连词，引导比较状语从句，常以as...as（not so/as...as）形式出现，译为：和...一样...（不如...那样...）：

as is often the case 这是常有的事；像往常一样
7)as做关系代词，引导非限制性定语从句，后接句子
