Step I Lead-in (导入部分)
1. Free talk : review the simple present tense of the verb to be .
T: I am an English teacher . Are you an English teacher S: No , I’m not . I am a student .
T: Yes , you are a student . Is he/ she a student S: Yes , he / she is .
2. Present and learn the new words
Step II Presentation(新授)
1. Part A Meeting my new friends.
Please read the profiles on page 13 .
Answer the questions :What does Kitty love What is Amy good at
Help Millie circle the correct answers in the table .
2. Listen to Millie and her mother’s conversation and circle the rest of the table . Ask and answer in pairs :
Model : T: How old is Kitty S: She is eleven years old .
T: Is Amy eleven years old , too S: No, she is twelve years old .
