I’ m excited to hear that our school will hold the activity “telling Chinese stories in English”. I really want to
take part in it.
It’s my great honor to introduce myself. I’m a boy from Class One, Grade Eight. My name is Li Hua and I’m
14 years old. I’m an outgoing boy. I have many hobbies, especially reading. I have read lots of classics on Chinese
history so I’m familiar with Chinese history and culture. And I know plenty of traditional folk stories, like How Yi
Shoots the Suns, Yu Gong Moves a Mountain and so on. I can even tell them in English. And I can get a strong
feeling of satisfaction when I see the look of joy on their faces while my classmates are listening to me.
In a word, this activity is meaningful. We can not only create an interest of learning English but also improve
