课标要求及本节课在大单元中的地位 本单元的主题是介绍自己的家庭。课标要求学生能读懂介绍人物职业和工作地点的短文,并用简单的句子介绍自己的家庭成员;能写一篇介绍自己家庭的文章。培养学生形成对父母职业的认同感和自豪感并形成更加积极健康的家庭观。 本课以建立家长与教师的联系档案为主线,主要围绕家庭成员的基本信息做简单的介绍,内容包含:成员、国籍、职业、工作场所。本课可分为两个课时:阅读课和读写课。阅读课是第一课时,通过阅读课文,培养学生阅读技巧的同时,使学生能够运用所学单词和句型简单介绍家庭,介绍父母的工作单位与职业等,从而做到语篇的输出。从语言上看,话题拉近了学习内容与学生的距离。从情感上看,通过对家人的介绍,培养学生对家庭的爱,同时能感恩父母。从语法上看,仍然继上一模块学习的一般现在时含有be动词的用法,培养学生的阅读技巧及对英语的综合运用能力。读写课为第二课时,主要让学生在所阅读过的文本中提取文章的主要信息、语篇类型及语篇结构,并能够综合运用目标语言写出一篇自己家庭情况的介绍,提高学生的写作能力。
教学目标 1. To understand the words and expressions used to describe a family by reading. (e.g., actor, actress, manager, station, etc.) 2. To get information from the passage about job introduction. 3. To introduce information of their family members and write a short passage about personal information. Learn to care about and love their parents.
教学重点 To master different ways of job introduction and get the specific information from the passage by using different reading strategies.
教学难点 Be able to introduce information of their family members and write a short passage with the key points after learning.

教学过程 Period 3 Stage 1 Warming up Step 1: Greetings. Step 2: Get the students to look at some pictures about places and learn the new words. Stage 2 Pre-reading Step 1: Label the places in the pictures with the words and expressions from the box Step 2: Check the answers. Step 3: Discuss who works in these places. Step 4: Label the people in Activity 1 with the words and expression from the box. Step 5: Check the answers by Q&A. Stage 3 While-reading Task 1: Read and write Step 1: Read the passage and write the letters of the pictures in Activity 1. (Activity 3) Step 2: Check the answers. Task 2: Read and complete Step 1: Read the passage again and complete the table in Activity 4. Step 2: Check the answers by Q&A. Q: What’s Betty’s father’s job Task 3: Read and think Step 1: Watch the video and think how Betty, Daming, Tony and Lingling introduce their family members. Step 2: Elicit answers from the whole class. Stage 4 Post-reading Step 1: Ask the students to close their books and fill in the blanks. Step 2: Check the answers. Step 3: Ask the students to read the passage together. Step 4: Let students discuss why Betty, Daming, Tony and Lingling only introduce their parents in the passage. Step 5: Elicit answers from the whole class. Stage 5 Summary Step 1: Help students summarize what they have learned in this class. Period 4 Stage 1 Revision Step 1: Greetings. Step 2: Let students write down the words they know about places and jobs in one minute. Step 3: Read the passages together. Stage 2 Pre-writing Step 1: Learn some language points from the passages. Step 2: Learn when to use capital letters and learn the card of “Learning to learn”. Step 3: Go through the passages quickly again and say how to introduce our family members. Step 4: Summarize the key points. Step 5: Get the students to look at the passages again and find when to use capital letters and full stops. Step 6: Invite some students to share their ideas in class. Stage 3 While-writing Step 1: Look at the sentences in Activity 5 and underline capital letters and full stops. Step 2: Check the answers. Step 3: Answer the questions in Activity 6. Step 4: Check their answers with their partners. Step 5: Write a passage to introduce personal information of your family members. Stage 4 Post-writing Step 1: Let students check their work according to the criteria on the PPT. Step 2: Let them exchange their work with their desk mate, then correct the work and make comments. Step 3: Choose one passage to show in front of the whole class and check it together. Stage 5 Summary Step 1: Help students summarize what they have learned in this class.
作业布置 Period 3: Draw your family tree. Introduce your family members, their jobs, and working places. Period 4: Finish and polish your composition.
