课标要求及本节课在大单元中的地位 本节课是新标准外研版教材七年级上册第二模块第三单元,是一节复习课。本模块的主题是谈论话题“我的家庭成员”,学生们通过本模块的学习能够谈论自己的家庭成员,和朋友之间彼此互相介绍。这个单元的话题非常贴近学生们的生活,是学生们非常熟悉的话题,这样有利于开阔学生的交际题材,开展丰富的教学活动。 本课要求学生能够正确使用本单元的词汇和句型向朋友介绍自己的家庭成员。教师为学生创设真实的语境,设置具有交际意义的任务,让学生互相合作进行家庭成员介绍,体验学习的乐趣。
教学目标 1.To review and consolidate the words about family members and jobs. 2.To summarize and consolidate pronouns and possessive case of nouns by exercises. 3.To write a passage about others’ family. 4. To know family information in America and learn to respect the different culture.

教学过程 Period 5 Stage 1 Revision Step 1: Ask two students to read their passages in front of the class. Step 2: Ask some questions based on the content of the passages and let some students answer. Stage 2 Pre-task (Language practice) Step 1: Read through the sentences with the whole class. Step 2: Let students fill in the blanks. Step 3: Help the students summarize the use of demonstrative pronouns. Stage 3 While-task Task 1: Complete the sentences (Activity 2) Step 1: Look at the picture and answer the questions. Q1: How many people are there in the picture Q2: Who are they Step 2: Check the answers. Step 3: Complete the sentences with this, that, these or those. Step 4: Elicit answers from the whole class. Task 2: Write sentences (Activity 3) Step 1: Go through the sentences and then change the sentence using the student’s name (e.g. Tony/Betty etc.), “Tony’s...” Step 2: Check the answers. One student reads Sentence 1, the other responds. Task 3: Matching (Activity 4) Step 1: Ask the students to read the words in the boxes together. Step 2: Let them match the words individually, then check their answers with a partner. Step 3: Check the answers again together. Task 4: Complete the passage (Activity 5) Step 1: Let students read the passage and answer two questions. Q1: Who are Amy’s friends Q2: Where are they from Step 2: Check the answers. Step 3: Ask the students to complete the passage with the correct from of the words from the box. Step 4: Elicit answers sentence by sentence from the class. Stage 4 Post-task Step 1: Learn the differences between personal pronouns and possessive pronouns. Step 2: Do some exercises. Stage 5 Summary Step 1: Help students summarize what they have learned in this class. Period 6 Stage 1 Revision Step 1: Let students report the words they know about places and jobs. Step 2: Choose some students to recite the sentences in Language practice. Stage 2 Look, say and write Step 1: Get the students to talk about the families in Activity 1. Step 2: Let students write sentences about them. Step 3: Share and check students’ sentences. Stage 3 Around the world Step 1: Guide the students to read the passage individually and then fill in the blanks. In America, many people have ____________ from different countries. Stage 4 Writing Step 1: Guide the students to write a passage to introduce Linda’s family. Step 2: Show some students’ work and let others compare and make comments.
