一、语篇研读
What:Danny在日记中讲述了见到自己偶像的激动心情和从Jack的采访中获取Jack梦想成真的经历。
Why:本课是一篇丹尼的日记,采用了日记的格式。
How:本课和第55课相呼应,丹尼有自己的理想,但是并不擅长相关学科,这里他决心为了自己的理想而努力,所以选择未来的职业可以出于自己的擅长,也可以出于热爱,然后再为此努力都有实现的希望与可能,引导学意识到目前学习对自己未来的影响,树立了为理想而努力学习的观念。
二、教学目标
通过本课的学习,学生能够:

Step 5:Language points
At first
At first I was nervous, but finally I decided to introduce myself.
at first 起初,开始时
at first=in the beginning“起初,开始时”,用来暗示后面情况有所变化。反义短语为at last“最后”。At first在句中作状语,可位于句首或句末。
e.g. At first, Jack couldn’t believe his eyes.
Mike and his sister didn’t trust me at first.
辨析:first 与above all
first first=first of all “首先;第一”,在句中作状语,强调首要的事情是什么。
above all above all“首先”,侧重于强调事情的重要性。
ee.g. First, let’s ask him about his past. 首先,我们问问他的过去。
But above all, the travelers needed some tents.
可首先这些旅行者需要一些帐篷。
Hold out
I said hello, and he ihold out 维持;坚持
e.g. We must hold out. We shouldn’t be frightened by the difficulties.
我们必须坚持住,我们不应该被困难吓倒。

3. To get ready
To get ready, he studied hard in school.
to get ready 是动词不定式短语作目的状语 。动词不定式(短语) 作目的状语 ,主要用来修饰动词,表示某一动作或状态的目的 。
eg: We must to get up early to arrive on time.

4. keep one's eye on
You have to get a good education and keep your eye on your goal.
keep one's eye on 意为留神,关注,留意,短语中
eye 为单数形式。相当于pay attention to。
eg: The officer kept his eye on the man's actions.
你应该关注你的学习,别掉队。(根据汉语意思完成句子)You should ____ ___ ____ ____ you study. Don't fall down.
Step6:writing
Work in pairs. Talk about your dream with your partners, then write down something about “My Dream”.
My Dream
I dream of becoming a teacher when I grow up.To come true my dream, I'll work hard from now on,and I'll never give up my dream no matter what difficulties I meet. I'm sure my dream will come true .
