Before you listen, look at the title, pictures and key words to predict about the content of a verbal message.
Focus on key words. Do not try to catch every word in a conversation. Instead, listen for key words and phrases. You should focus on getting the main idea, not on single words and grammar.
Listen for the first time to get a general idea. Listen again. This time pay attention to the specific information.
