I. Analysis of material
教学内容:Unit5 Topic2 Section B (1a, 1b, 1c)
本课通过Miss Wang 询问并与情绪低落的Li Hong 谈心,提出合理的建议,帮助她走出消极情绪的阴影,进一步深化了本话题的主题:学会关爱他人,帮助他人走出情绪低落的阴影,给予心情不好的同伴合理有效的建议。呈现了新出现的单词和重点短语:fail, someone, feeling, joke和at one’s age等。在对话中还呈现了交际功能用语:How are you feeling today Why don’t you… 以及表示安慰的Don’t worry. There, there! 和It’ll be OK.等句子。帮助学生学会理解别人,安慰别人,给出合理化建议,从而提高学生的口语交际技能。
II. Analysis of students
在A部分,学生已经知道新同学Li Hong因为英语考试考砸了在厕所哭所以Helen把这件事告诉了Miss Wang。而且学生在第一个话题已经学习了表达心情。从学生已知已会的情况来看本,本课难度较小。802班的学生对英语学习积极性比较高,有一定的概括和总结能力。
III.Teaching aims
1.Knowledge aims:
(1)学生能正确拼读并运用单词表中的黑体单词fail, someone, feeling和joke。
(2)学生能自如地运用以下功能句进行交流。
How are you feeling today /Why don’t you… /Don’t worry./
There, there!/It’ll be OK.
2.Skill aims:
(1) 能听懂有关询问情绪和提出建议的简单对话和陈述。
(2) 能正确朗读课本的有关情绪询问和给出建议的文本材料及难度相当的材料。
3.Emotional aims:
通过对Section B的学习,学生能够学会关注他人的情绪,在别人情绪低落时提出合理有效的建议,帮助伙伴远离消极情绪。

1.问题导入:How are you feeling today (先请1位女同学 和1位男同学分别口头回答。)目的:以简单的问题开始新课,增强学生的自信,激发学生的学习兴趣。预期效果:学生能够比较轻松地回答出这个问题。
PPT呈现图片,学生说出相应的英语单词(happy, sad, frightened, upset, excited, angry),把写有这些单词的彩纸分别张贴到黑板上。
由以上6个已学单词,引出新单词:feeling,板书并讲解。
游戏:Act and guess. 4人一组,前三人依次表演所抽到的单词,最后一个人猜。猜对的小组成员奖励1颗星星。目的:活跃课堂气氛,加强学生对表达情绪的单词的复习。预期效果:学生能积极参与游戏,加深对单词的理解和记忆。
PPT过渡到第二个问题:What do you usually do when you are unhappy
Ask and answer. 先小组内问答,再请学生表演。目的:训练学生的口语表达。预期效果:经过小组合作后有至少一半的学生能进行问答。
相关词汇的呈现。
过渡到处理不开心的重要办法:talk。目的:学生明白心情不好的时候有很多方式去处理。倾述就是其中之一。预期效果:学生会说向不同人倾诉的英语。
3.复习引入:Section A的图片,填空。目的:提醒学生,下面将由单词句子的复习转变为听力对话。预期效果:学生能回忆A部分的对话,正确填出空格答案。
4.由did badly in the English exam引出新单词fail。目的:听前扫障碍。预期效果:学生能在听音前学会单词fail。
