一、教学目标:
1.认识字母组合并掌握其发音
2.根据所学的字母组合的发音认读新单词
二、教学重难点:
1. 识别、认读8个双元音
2.运用所学的音标认读生单词
三、教学过程:
Step 1.Presentation
write “play” and “say” on the black and ask the students to read them out, underline “ ay”, tell the students to pay attention to its pronunciation,/ ei/, show some words with “ay”, eg. Stay, may, day, bay, pray.
Write “wait” and “rain” on the blackboard too, present the vowel /ai/ in the same way. Practice the other vowels.
Step 2 Practice
Practice the vowels after the tape ,then in pairs
The teacher helps them to pronounce them correctly.
Choose some students to read the vowels for the whole class.
Have a competition between the different groups.
Step 3 Practice
Ask the students to complete Part A on P65.
Check the answers with the whole class.
Practice reading the words.
Collect more words like them with the eight vowels.
Complete Part B ,practice reading the words with the help of the ones on the left.
Give the students more examples to judge whether they have the same vowels.
eg. (1) may; night (2) house; now (3) show; toy
(4) flower; know (5) mouse; mouth (6) coat; borrow
(7) hear; here (8) air; dear (9) road; float
Practice Part C, practice reading the sentences after the tape.
Work in pairs.
Step 4.Homework
Do the exercises in the workbook
Revise the consonants and vowels the students learnt before.
