【教学过程】
一、新知学习
1．Introduce words “flower” and “hobby”.
Guessing the riddles:
A. It attracts bees and butterflies.
B. It has many colours,
It grows on the earth.
Answers: flower
2．Introduce flowers.
T: Do you like flowers
Where do they live
(Earth.)
They live on the earth and I love to plant them.
Help students to learn “hobby”.
(Help the students to find the differences between “hobby” and “hobbies”.)
3．Introduce the sentence pattern “Why … Because …”
Ask some students to say “I like … Because …”
Help other students to ask “Why do you like … ”
Ask and answer in pairs.
二、巩固练习
There are many other flowers in the Garden, too.
(Show some pictures of flowers.)

Make a short dialogue with your partner.
三、作业
