一、新知学习
1．Introduce words “bird watching” and “hobby”.
Guessing the riddles:
A. It is a kind of activity.
B. It needs binoculars.
It can see lots of beautiful birds.
Answers: bird watching.
2．Introduce binoculars.
T: Do you know binoculars
Where do you see binoculars before
(In the lab.)
My father loves to do those things.
Help students to learn “hobby”.
(Help the students to find the differences between “hobby” and “hobbies”.)
3．Introduce the sentence pattern “Why … Because …”
Show a picture of some birds.
T: What do you know about hobby
Ss: …
T: shows some pictures of different hobbies and introduces binoculars, birds, bags and so on.
