Darin Zanyar是瑞典歌坛新人,成名于2004年度瑞典流行偶像大赛。出生于1987年的他是当年的瑞典偶像亚军,现在瑞典当红的偶像歌手。2005年9月28日,他的同名专辑《Darin》一经发行就登上了瑞典排行榜冠军,而这首《B What U Wanna B》正是来自这样一张备受瞩目的专辑。2006年12月,Darin Zanyar又重拳出击,推出全新专辑《Break The News》,同样受到了歌迷的追捧。   
在网络上流传的英文歌曲《Peerless》真名叫做《Be What you Wanna Be》,原唱是瑞典歌手Darin Zanyar。因为最初上传这首歌到网络上的人,是天涯论坛音乐版版主,他的名字叫peerless。由于该版主上传时没有透露歌曲信息, 于是众多的转载者就误将他的名字作为歌名了。  
为了尊重原作者,所以请大家还是称这首歌《Be What You Wanna Be》。
