Activity 1 Discussion
1. Would you like to read the book Letters from Father Christmas?
Give your reasons.(Critical thinking)
I would love to read the book. To begin with, this collection of letters was created by J. R. R. Tolkien who also wrote The Lord of the Rings, which was really a phenomenal masterpiece. In this collection, I believe his gorgeous style of writing has already been filled with his deep love and expectations for his children. Also, the stories carrying his feelings about the adventures and misadventures of Father Christmas and his helpers were warmly received by famous critics. So the quality of the stories may not let us down.

I was deeply moved by what he did and made up my mind to learn English well and make a big difference in return for him.
Tolkien wrote the letters to express his love and expectation to his children. In the letters, we can share the true spirit of giving at Christmas time.
Our parents also give us special gifts at special time, such as at some festivals. The gifts are full of their love and care. We should appreciate it and learn to love our family.
