Starter Unit 1 Good morning!
1.单元话题以“日常问候”展开,情境属于2022新课标“人与社会”主题范畴中的“社会服务与人际沟通”这一主题群,涉及子主题“良好的人际关系与人际交往”。

1.尝试在听力中抓住关键词:英语人名及打招呼的用语。
2.尝试在听力中通过听辨男女声、观察图片或通过背景知识分辨男子名及女子名。
第一课时 (1a-2e)

Step 1 情景导入
【参考案例】
Listen to the Good Morning song.Then Ss learn to sing this song.
设计意图:通过听唱英文歌,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,把学生引入英语学习的环境中。
Step 2 完成教材1a-1c的任务
【操作案例】
Pre listening
1.Greet the class with a smile and say “Good morning!”Repeat this several times and have the class repeat after you.Students can answer as a whole group,as rows and as individuals.
2.Point to yourself and say “I'm Miss/Mr.…”Let them repeat.Explain the words “Miss” and “Mr.”in Chinese.Ss repeat this a few times as rows and individuals.
3.Leave the classroom,return and say “Good morning,class!”Help Ss respond with “Good morning,Miss/Mr.…”Then say “Sit down,please.Now let's start the lesson.”(Practice it several times.)
4.Game (Choose an English name.)
(1)T:We have many new friends in our class this year.They are from the USA and England.Who are they?Do you want to know them?Now please look at the screen.
(Show the picture of Bob.)
T:This is Bob.(Teach Ss “Bob”.)
Ss:Bob.(Ss read after the teacher.)
(Then teach the names:Dale,Frank and Eric in the same way.Tell Ss they're boys.)
(Show the picture of Grace.)
T:This is Grace.(Teach Ss “Grace”.)
Ss:Grace.(Ss read after the teacher.)
(Then teach the names:Helen,Cindy and Alice in the same way.Tell Ss they're girls.)
(2)Ss read the names aloud.Then let some Ss read the names to the class.
(3)T:Now let's work on 1a.Look at the picture in 1a and write down the names in the picture.Attention:Which are boys' names and which are girls' names
(4)Choose a name for yourself in a group.Then practice saying “I'm…”
S1:I'm Alice.
S2:I'm Bob.
设计意图:让学生初步学会简单的课堂问候语“Good morning!”,也了解和学习了简单的英文名Bob,Dale,Frank,Eric等。
While listening
1.Tell Ss that our new friends are greeting each other.Please keep quiet and listen to the recording.
2.Ss listen and repeat after the recording.
设计意图:通过听力练习,达到语言输入的目的。通过听录音模仿,加大语言输入量以及强化语音语调的学习。
Post listening
1.T:You are Bob,and your partner is Helen.You are Dale,and your partner is Eric.Then you are Cindy,and your partner is Alice.Practice the conversations.
(Ss practice the conversations in pairs.)
2.T:Exchange the roles.And practice the conversations again.

3.Let Ss act out the conversations in front of the class.

T:Look at these names and pay attention to the purple letters.These are printed letters,big and small.We can see printed letters in the words,books,magazines and many other places.Please listen and then repeat correctly and clearly.
设计意图:通过这些英文名字,先让学生认识和了解字母的印刷体。
While listening
1.The teacher plays the recording of the letters one by one,and students repeat.
2.For the second time,the teacher plays all the 8 letters,and then the students repeat from Aa to Hh and then work on 2b.Listen and number the letter you hear.
3.The teacher reads A-H,and Ss follow the teacher to read.

1.Writing
(1)T:Now let's learn how to write these letters.First look at the letters carefully in 2c.
Then tell Ss how to write these English letters.
(2)Ss read and find out the writing rules of the letters Aa-Hh.
2.Practice
(1)Tell Ss to look at 2d.First,read the letters aloud.Then let some Ss read the letters to the class aloud.
(2)Let Ss try to write down the missing letters.Check the answers with partners.Then let some Ss come to the blackboard and write missing letters on the blackboard.
(3)Show some special letters HB,CD and BBC.Let Ss think about the meanings of them.
设计意图: 通过观察比较书写体与印刷体的不同,教会学生按正确的笔画顺序书写,为后面的单词书写做准备。掌握一些缩略词,并引导学生关注生活中常见的缩略词,了解英语在生活中的运用。

▲Good morning!
意为“早上好!”,是在比较正式的场合中的招呼用语,回答也用“Good morning!”。在非正式的场合中,与熟人和家人问候时,可省略good。书写时,招呼语和称呼语之间用逗号,句末用感叹号。如:

(2)Teach “Good evening!”in the same way.

我(I)用am你(you)用are;is(是)连着他她它;单用is复用are。
▲How are you?你好吗?
用于问候对方的身体状况,是一种礼貌的问候方式,回答的人常用“Fine/I'm fine/I'm OK,thanks.”,并加上“And you?(=And how are you?)”意为“你呢?”,此时的答语可以是“I am fine,too./Fine,too.”。

本节课我在口语练习中采用Pair work和Group work相结合的方式,让学生多多练习,学会合作,引导学生积极参与口头表达活动,正确运用英文名字,而且要求学生在日常生活中多用英语的问候语言。课堂效果很好。
