Ask students to say the English words of the things in the pictures of 3a.Then lead the class to read them aloud.
While listening
1.(1)T:Now listen to the tape of 3a carefully.I'll play the tape twice.For the first time,listen and pay attention to the things.You can number the pictures quickly.For the second time,please repeat after me and correct your answers.
(2)Now listen to the tape of 3b and complete the words under the pictures in 3a.Then listen again and check the answers.
2.(1)Show the picture of 3c.
T:Look at the picture.They are talking about something in English and spelling the word.Please listen to the recording and repeat the conversation.
(2)The teacher writes or displays the conversation on the blackboard.

Post listening
1.Tell Ss to look at the box in 3d.Then let some Ss read the words aloud.Make sure they know the meaning of every word.
2.Tell Ss that they will hear four conversations.They are about different objects.Listen to the conversations and number the words they hear.
3.Look at the picture in 3e.Let Ss talk about the things in the picture by using the conversation on the left.

▲I的发音规则
一般情况下,在重读开音节中读/аI/。此音标为双元音,在发音时由一个元音向另一个元音滑动,唇形和舌位都发生相应的变化,如:I,hi,fine,nice。在重读闭音中一般读/I/。此音标为单元音,在发音时,唇形和舌位不发生变化,如:quilt,in,milk。

本节课通过图文和听力相结合的形式,将单元内容拓展。3a-3b以听力训练的方式,让学生辨认图片,补全单词,一方面复习了本单元的8个单词,另一方面让学生意识到字母对于构成单词的重要性,以及字母与读音的对应关系。活动3c让学生通过听读对话,巩固了向他人询问物品的英文名称及单词拼写的句型。3d是听力练习,3e是口语练习。本部分的活动从单词到句型层层递进,让学生运用目标语言谈论身边的物品。
4a-4d部分是复习字母Ii-Rr和进行语音教学。活动4a要求学生通过补全字母的大写和小写,从而复习字母Aa-Rr。活动4b是让学生将单词按首字母的顺序排序。活动4c-4d是帮助学生梳理到目前为止所学的元音字母的读音。学生根据自己刚刚总结的读音规律,试着读出生词。学生学会了自主学习,自己总结及在学习中运用。Starter Unit 2 What's this in English

(1)此句用来问某个物品用英语怎样说,回答不用“This is…”,而用“It is a/an+可数名词单数.”结构。

本节课我注重了方法与价值观的培养:听说练习,大量感知英语,加强输入,让学生养成良好的学习英语的习惯。口语练习采用Pair work和Group work相结合的方式,让学生多多练习,学会合作。大部分学生能正确书写字母Ii-Rr,知道笔画顺序,熟悉大小写,而且学会身边常见物品的英文单词,能够运用本单元的句型向别人询问和回答物品的英文名称。
