How to compare
Use the comparative(比较级) or base form of an adjective(形容词) or adverb(副词).
Is Tom smarter than Sam No, he isn’t. Sam is smarter than Tom.
Is Tara more outgoing than Tina No, she isn’t. Tina is more outgoing than Tara.
Are you as friendly as your sister No, I’m not. I’m friendlier.
Does Tara work as hard as Tina Yes, she does.

形容词副词比较级的用法。
两者进行比较,表示“一方比另一方更……”常用句型:
1. A + be动词\have +形容词的比较级+than +B
You are thinner than me.
This ruler is longer than that one.
Lucy have longer hair than Lily.
2. A + 实义动词 + 副词比较级 + than + B
I got up earlier than my mother this morning.我今天早晨起床比我妈妈还早。
Tina sings more loudly than Tara。Tina 比 Tara 唱得更大声。
她唱歌比蒂娜更清楚。She sings _____ ______ than Tina.
汤姆比鲍勃跳得更高。
Tom jumps higher than Jack.

单音节词和部分双音节词 一般在词汇尾加-est high tall
以字母e结尾的词,在词尾加-st fine nice
重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加-est big thin
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词,先把“y”变为“i”,再加-est easy funny early
