Max is an exchange student from the UK. The first day,after a welcome speech in the lecture hall,he went to the registration office with the aim of 1.registering his personal information,which included name,sex,nationality,email address,etc. He was curious about everything new on campus,whose style of design was very special. There was a lot for him 2.to explore. Though he was outgoing,he was quite annoyed because he didn’t know how to greet in a formal way. He felt 3.awkward and anxious. And he was frightened that he would make a bad 4.impression on others. When doing an experiment in the school lab at eight a.m.,he lost 5.confidence,for he couldn’t perform it wonderfully. After all,learning at senior high school was different from that in junior high school. What if he fell behind other guys and girls His partner told him to concentrate on the meaning of whole sentences while listening to the lectures. Another strategy was to take notes and regularly revise what had been learnt. With the company of the female partner,he set a new goal at last. He looked forward to joining an 6.organisation organized by the student union to 7.improve himself. He was confident that he would make an impression on others.
1 In order to exchange ideas,our school has organised a lecture to be held on campus. If you want to attend the lecture,you need to register your personal information by filling in the formal registration form which is specially designed by our designer. You need to fill in your name,sex(male or female),age and nationality. Exchange students are also welcome,but they must state which nation they come from.

2.Bob graduated from junior high school,and now he is a senior high school student. This guy has become my best partner. He is always anxious to explore new things. He has an outgoing personality and is curious to make a good impression on everyone. He is a very confident student and will never be frightened by difficulties. I am really impressed with his confidence. In class,he concentrates on listening to the teacher. Sometimes,he makes you feel awkward and even annoys you. What if he makes you annoyed I’ll have to leave him alone at last.

School mornings were always busy. Today was extremely so because it was my first day to senior high school. Therefore, the moment I heard Mom calling “It's time to rise”,I dragged myself out of my bed. Excited, I got myself dressed and ready for breakfast.After the race against time, I reached the bus stop, waiting for the school bus. However, along the way, my initial excitement was gradually replaced by nervousness. Meanwhile, I couldn't help wondering whether I can adapt to the new environment.

What made me annoyed was that I was assigned to work with an extremely serious guy who always wore dark clothes and was always not satisfied with others’ work. To be honest,I was so frightened of him that my voice would tremble uncontrollably whenever speaking to him. Anxious and nervous,I had no choice but to concentrate on/upon designing a school project with my awkward partner. At last,what made me wild with joy was that he was deeply impressed by my outgoing personality. Gradually,a bright smile lit up his face. I was confident that our efforts would pay off.
