Mum: Oh, no! I forgot, didn't I Your concert was today, and I missed it!
Alice: It wasn't a concert. It was the school play. And yes, you missed it.
Mum: Alice, I'm so sorry! I was really busy with work. Someone was off sick, so I had to do his work, too.
Alice: Couldn't you have asked someone else to do it I know work is very important to you, it's just... Everyone said I was really good in the play. I wanted you to see it, too.
Mum: I'm so sorry I didn't make it, dear. You worked so hard on your part, and I'm so proud of you. I should have been there. I promise I'll never do it again! Can you forgive me
Alice: It's all right. I understand you're very busy. But you've worked so much recently. You need some time off to relax. I don't like seeing you so tired and pale.
Mum: I know, dear. Perhaps next week I could take a day off, and we could
go to the countryside.

Useful expressions:
Son
Mother
Your mother asked you to teach her how to use a new app to take photos.
You started to help but soon became very impatient.
Now, you feel sorry about your behaviour.
Apologise to her and make up.
Student A: Mum, how are you getting on with your new photo-taking app
Student B: Not bad...
Student A: Mum, I’m sorry for being so impatient with you!
Student B: You know people of my age are slow to learn new things, so is your dad. It’s just...I want to learn to use it so that I can record our sweet family moments!
Student A: Mum, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. Please don’t be angry with me! Recently I’m really busy with my English project. You know I’m really interested in it. And my group needs me a lot. It is important for us.
Student B: It’s OK, dear. You’ve been working so hard on your part, and I’m so proud of you!
Student A: But I couldn’t have been so impatient with you. Please forgive me, Mum!
Student B: It’s all right, dear. You see I can use our camera too.
Student A: Mum, I promise I won’t be like that again.
Student B: Sweet, let’s forget about it!
Student A: Mum, I will show you how to use the app. And see what I’ve made for you. It’s an instruction on how to use the new app to take photos. You can refer to it when I’m at school.
Student B: Oh, dear, that sounds wonderful! You are really a great teacher. I love you!
Student A: Love you! Mum!
